On February 20, 2018, the Seminar Communication. Allying Sectors, Potentiating Tools, Promoting competences in Museums took place at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Porto (FLUP), Portugal. It was organized by the University of Porto as an initiative of the Masters in Museology (MMUS).

The seminar aimed at sharing communication strategies in different sectors, attracting and actively involving communities/audiences/public, by traditional and innovative ways and methods, and to promote a debate about how it’s possible to benefit from knowledge developed in different contexts, in favour of a greater effectiveness and efficiency of the communication strategies assumed by the museums, discussing professionals’ needs, in terms of transferable and digital competences.
