The University of Porto (U. PORTO) is one of the largest higher education and research institutions in Portugal with around 32,500 students, 2,300 academics and researchers and 1,500 administrative staff. With 14 Faculties and a Business School, it provides a vast academic offer in all fields of study offering more than 600 degrees at undergraduate, master and doctoral levels as well as vocational training programmes. U.PORTO receives close to 3,700 international students from over 110 countries every year, half of which on international exchange programmes and the other half having applied as regular students. It offers a BA in Information Science, a BA in Communication Sciences, MA in Museum Studies, a MA in Information Sciences, a MA in Communication Sciences, a PhD in Heritage Studies – Museology and a PhD in Information and Communication in Digital Platforms. The Faculty of Arts and Humanities (FLUP), with close to 4000 students, offers 13 undergraduate courses, 30 Master’s courses and 14 doctoral courses in the fields of the Humanities and Social Sciences, as well as a wide variety of continuous education training and open courses.
